Julia Leahy LMT, CMLD

People are resilient and adaptive. Our bodies adapt to the environments we inhabit. And since many of us are sedentary and stressed out, hunched unnaturally over computers and phones, our bodies come to see this as normal. But it isn’t. And we all pay the price. We start to believe that pain, stiffness, depression, and withdrawal from healthy activities is also normal. But it isn’t.

Julia, who has mastered a wide range of massage and other treatments, has had a life-long passion to help people live full, happy, healthy, and productive lives. She has an intuitive healing touch. She knows where to in the body one needs release from stress and tension, whether it is found in the muscles, bones, lymph system or energy points. She knows where to move her hands and adjusts to just the right amount of pressure for each person. This opens muscles, promotes blood circulation, increases production of life-saving white blood cells, increases ROM, reduces the size and impact of scar tissue, and enhances the body’s life force energy to aid in healing and much more.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that the healing touch of massage helps reconnect the body with the heart, mind, and soul. It is highly effective for reducing the effects of stress on the body, soothing the mind, and can help you overcome emotional, physical, and mental unease.

In my bodywork, I utilize an integrative, intuitive, and therapeutic approach to support this essential mind-body-soul balance. I customize my services to fit your individual needs while focusing holistically on the muscles, bones, nervous system, lymphatic system as much as I do your energy.

On a more physiological level, massage can help heal neuro-muscular, connective tissue or sports-related injuries, increase circulation, and facilitate the removal of toxins from the system. It is also known to decrease inflammation and assist in cellular regeneration while supporting the immune system.
